MAGDA

Magda has been dancing since her childhood and she has got an education in different styles from folklore to modern dances. As a child and teenager, she competed in ball room dances – ChaCha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, Polka, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Slowfox, Quickstep. Also, she was a member of the dance group performing at different social events.

Since 2009 she has been social dancing Latin and African dances – Semba, Kizomba, Salsa, Mambo, Chachacha, Bachata, Zouk, Brazilian Zouk, Kompa, Merengue, Funaná, Forró, Tango, Bolero, Samba.

Since 2012 Magda has been running her own dance company called «KizombaME», currently offering workshops, group and private lessons for adults. Together with her partners, she is mainly teaching Semba and Kizomba, couple dances originally from Angola, but also Cuban Salsa and Dominican Bachata. Since 2018 she is also offering dance lessons for children and families.

Magda has organized different social and beneficial events, cooperated with national and international teachers and DJs, she was teaching and performing at dance festivals and concerts of popular Kizomba singers like Anselmo Ralph, Kataleya and C4 Pedro.

In 2013 Magda has been invited to Montreux Jazz Festival where she had a chance to create a space for different dance schools teaching Kizomba & Semba in Switzerland to present their work. In 2014 she represented Switzerland together with her partner at the International Dance Competition «Africadancar».

Her main goal is to support Kizomba & Semba dance scene and community in Switzerland, to work together with talented and passionate professionals and to support dancers to be able to enjoy the social dancing to maximum.

Since 2023 Magda and her dance partner Serge are teaching in HOA Studio in Zürich – they are available for private lessons of Semba, Kizomba, Salsa and Bachata (all levels). Every month they organize an event called “Semba Sábado” – Semba Workshop (level: intermediate & advanced) and Semba Practica – Social Party.
